I have a bit of a weakness for Cameo Seated coins, especially when the come with nice vibrant color. 1867 was pretty much a standard year for the production of proof dimes. 625 were minted, which is neither low nor high for the series. Cameos for the date exist, but are not the norm which makes collecting cameo coins more exciting in my opinion, given the relative rarity compared to other examples without the great premium. This particular piece has deep mirrors and great eye appeal. You won’t get tired of pulling it out of your collection to admire.
