1800 1c PCGS AU50 CAC
A stunning early large cent. Probably just missing the condition census for the variety (S-204). This is a rare early copper where the PCGS grade isn’t very far off at all from EAC grade. The planchet on this piece is immaculate with red brown luster that appears in a lovely halo effect around the devices on both the obverse and reverse. Outside of light chatter on the reverse between the denomination lettering, the coin is very clean technically, only adding to the appeal. For the astute copper connoisseur, the time to act is now. Not many auction examples of this R4 variety, the most recent being for a non CAC PCGS AU50 coin that brought $6463 in 2012.
